It is expected that riders to arrive on schedule. Early arrivals will still be picked up by IMT, but the hotel costs are borne by the participants until the tour schedule starts.
By registering for the tour with submission of the online booking form and payment of the tour deposit, the rider offers IMT to bindingly conclude a travel contract. The contract shall enter into force upon confirmation from IMT. A deposit of USD 500 per person is required at the time of booking. This deposit secures a place on the tour. Spots on the guided tours are limited and reservations are made on a first come basis.
The outstanding payment of the tour price shall be made without any additional request 60 days before the start of the tour, unless specified otherwise in the tour's description. If full payment is not received by the specified due date, IMT reserves the right to treat the reservation as cancelled and to charge a cancellation fee specified in these terms and conditions.
Change of package tour can be done if there are still available slots. Request of package change is free of charge if done 60 days upon arrival. If the new tour package is at a higher price than the previous tour (upgrade), then the rider must immediately add the price, but if the package’s price is lower, the price gap will not be returned.
Tour participants may only change with IMT agreement and if the substitute individual complies with all conditions for participation in the tour. The person transferring and the person substituting shall jointly be responsible for the outstanding remuneration as well as, if applicable, for the additional costs incurred by the transfer.
Replacement of participants can be done free of charge within a period of 60 days before departure. We will charge an additional fee as an administration fee of $100 USD if the replacement is made 59 days or less before departure and to report it to the help desk.
If the change of driver and/or passenger is made without notification to IMT, an additional fee of $500 will be charged.
In the case of a rider cancelling the booking after confirmation, IMT reserves the right to charge the cancellation fee based on the time of the cancellation.

No exception to this policy can be made for any reason. Taking out a trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.
IMT is not required to make refunds once the tour commences, regardless of the reason for the participant's inability to complete his tour.
All tour packages have a guaranteed departure and a guide on a motorcycle. This tour will run with a minimum of 2 participants (2 riders)
IMT is not liable for any additional costs or losses incurred by the customers due to the cancellation of the tour packages due to lack of participants. This includes, but is not limited to, the cost of pre-paid airline tickets, hotel reservations and vehicle rentals.
All motorcycles are insured with Third party liability insurance and a comprehensive vehicle insurance. The latter comes with a deductible for which IMT takes as a security deposit. A security deposit USD 2.500, is to be secured by a credit card or paid in cash to IMT at the time of hand-over of the motorcycle at the beginning of the rental period. This security deposit shall be reimbursed when the motorcycle is returned undamaged to IMT. Any damage to the motorcycle up to the insurance excess will be deducted from the security bond.

If the rider takes motorcycle damage insurance or full cover insurance, there is no need to pay a deposit fee.
The tour prices stated on the website and in literature are based on motorcycle selection and tour package. All Rider shall pay the tour price. The Rider participating in the tours as riders on the IMT motorcycles shall pay the tour price for a rider according to the chosen motorcycle model. Passengers participating in the tour with the riders on the IMT motorcycles shall pay the tour price for a passenger.
Prices quoted by IMT, its agents or publications are those in effect at the time of printing/publishing. On rare occasions, due to situations beyond IMT control, IMT reserves the right to change the tour prices at any time up to 60 days before the tour commences. IMT reserves the right to correct typographical and calculation errors at any time.
IMT provides motorcycles as part of the tour package. The pictures of the motorcycles in the literature or on this website do not always represent the exact version of the motorcycles provided. Please email or call if you need specific or customized information on exact motorcycle versions.
IMT shall attempt to provide the tour participant with the requested motorcycle model; however, it reserves the right to replace it with a comparable model in case of uncontrollable situations. These include, but are not limited to, technical defect, damage due to an accident, theft or a similar incident. IMT is not responsible or liable for a delay occurring from the manufacturer's failure to deliver the motorcycles on time. If IMT is unable to provide a comparable model, a prorated refund for the difference in models' rental rates, if any, will be refunded to the Rider. IMT will make every effort to contact the Rider prior to any substitution. Most participants ride the motorcycle that is confirmed for them at the time of booking. Any other liability on the part of IMT shall hence be excluded.
The Rider is liable for all the damage to the rented motorcycle, documents, parts and accessories, that occur during the tour period. This includes, but is not limited to, theft or loss, damage due to an accident or operational damage, damage as the result of improper use and damage that reduces the value of the motorcycle. The term "damage" is to exclude reasonable wear and tear. Minor blemishes of paint chips from gravel, stones, and insects are considered normal wear and tear. Damage of scratches caused by an accident, dropping a motorcycle or riding a motorcycle through bushes and off road is not considered normal wear and tear.
If IMT has to transport the motorcycle back to its premises due to a damage for which the customer is responsible, the IMT reserves the right to invoice the customer for recovering the motorcycle in the amount of 1 USD per Miles covered.
Taking out a motorcycle damage insurance is strongly recommended. You may consider IMT’s motorcycle damage insurance.IMT provides a supporting mini truck for safety during the tour. This mini truck carries a spare motorbike, participant luggages, mechanical equipments and a first aid kit. This mini truck will also carry experienced drivers and mechanics as well as certified medical personnel.
The traveler shall participate in the road traffic of the respective tour destination on his own responsibility and is obliged to observe the provisions of all the local regulations. Penalties, administrative fines or similar as well as damages to legally protected interests of third parties which are due to the non-compliance with local regulations shall be paid by the Riders
Please note that a good general state of health corresponding to the respective tour description is a prerequisite for participating in the tour. Riders who do not fulfil these prerequisites can be excluded from participating in the entire tour or in individual legs of the tour without substantiating a claim vis-à-vis IMT. It is in any case recommended to consult a doctor before the tour starts. In case of doubts regarding the state of health of the Riders, IMT shall upon its request be presented a medical certificate. The traveler shall not be allowed to consume alcoholic beverages and, respectively, take medicine or other substances which influence the fitness to drive during the day as long as he still must drive the vehicle. This shall also apply to travelers who participate in the journey as front passengers. It shall only be permitted to drink alcoholic beverages after the end of the respective day tour and after the vehicle has been parked for the night. If alcohol is consumed or if medicine and other impairing substances are taken after the end of the respective day tour, the traveler shall ensure that the state impairing the fitness to drive no longer exists on the next morning at the beginning of the day tour. Alcohol is only sold in limited places that have an official permit from the government.Narcotics, psychotropic, drugs, firearms, air guns, sharp weapons, ammunition, explosive material, pornographic goods, publication, or record.
Off-road driving with vehicles provided by IMT shall not be permitted outside of the itinerary respectively determined by IMT. It shall neither be permitted to improperly use the rental vehicles. The Rider shall fully bear the damages caused by unauthorized off-road driving and an improper use.
All risks from the driver for loss, damage, accident, and death are the responsibility of the rider. Therefore, it is advisable to take additional insurance, insurance that is already included in the cost of the tour package.
Riders agree not to cause any damage to natural surroundings or third parties through their actions while riding their motorcycles. Riders agree to observe local traffic laws and practice safe group travel practices as described by the tour leader and the guidelines provided by IMT. If a rider repeatedly ignores rules or causes others to feel threatened by their actions, IMT reserves the right to remove the riders from touring group.
The Rider is liable for all personal and material damages he culpably causes and holds IMT harmless from all claims of parties in connection with such damages. Damages culpably caused by the rider shall in particular, but not exclusively, be damages which are due to driving errors, a lack of ability to drive and, respectively, improper driving behavior (e.g. driving with the front wheel coming off the ground, non-compliance with safety distances, driving on walkways, etc.) and driving in a condition impairing the fitness to drive.
The Rider shall not be allowed to consume alcohol or take medicine or other substances which influence the ability to drive during the riding day until the motorcycle is parked for the night. This applies also to rider who participate in the tour as passengers. In case of non-compliance, IMT reserves the right to remove the riders from touring group.
IMT shall be released from its obligation to fulfill the liability if the rider, despite the warning, within the framework of a guided tour durably impairs the performance of the tour by grossly improper conduct or if participant's ability to drive does not suffice. In this case, the participant shall be obliged to compensate the damage to IMT.
It is agreed and understood that IMT, its owners, agents and representatives on the tour are not the guardians of the rider's safety and they cannot be held liable in any way for any occurrence in connection with any activity in connection with the tour which might result in injury, death or other damage to the rider, his property, his family, or heirs. IMT is not responsible for any damage caused to third parties due to the rider's activities during the tour.
Shipments left behind will be sent to the address where the rider lives at the cost of the rider plus a 20% handling fee.
If the tour is affected by Force Majeure, then IMT reserves the right to reschedule, make a tour, change itineraries, or make changes regarding hotels, cities, guides, and travel arrangements based on the situation at that time.
Force majeure includes but is not limited to road closures/damage, unplanned hotel closures, natural disasters, bad weather, floods, earthquakes, government policies, both central and regional, strikes, casualties, war, or conditions such as wars and epidemics.
IMT will try to find a way so that there are no additional costs because of the force majeure situation. However, if it incurs additional costs, the Rider must pay for the additional costs.
IMT will try to follow the schedule, locations, routes, motorcycles, and hotels according to the package offered. If there is a change in schedule, location, route, motorcycles, and hotels during tour, then IMT will review the changes.
On downgrade conditions, there will be compensated to reducing of payment.
On upgrade conditions, then there will be NO additional costs, unless caused by a force majeure.
The photographs or videos produced by representatives of IMT during the tour are the property of IMT under copyright and/or intellectual property law. IMT shall be entitled to use this material for marketing and advertising purposes, including the images in which the rider can be recognized, without incurring any costs for IMT owed to the Rider.
Rider who submits their photographs or videos to IMT agree to allow the use of their photographs by IMT for marketing and advertising purposes.
Copyrights from photos and/or videos are taken by the rider during the tour will be the property of the rider, unless otherwise specified.
While in Indonesia, the rider must comply with the applicable laws and regulations in Indonesia, including if there is a claim and/or legal dispute between Rider and IMT
Charges when placing orders online and/or transferring to IMT Accounts follow the values on the website or transfer orders. If there is a difference in costs due to a foreign exchange difference, it is not the responsibility of IMT.
IMT recommends taking out an adequate travel, health and accident insurance policies as well as a trip cancellation insurance.
Baggage entrusted to IMT for transport each day of the tour is done at the participant's own risk. IMT assumes no responsibility for theft, loss, damage or delay in delivering the baggage to tour participants. Baggage insurance is recommended.
It is recommended to the customer to not bring object of special value on the tours. It is further recommended to the customer to watch carefully over their personal belongings. IMT is not responsible for lost or stolen items from premises, motorcycles and suitcases or support vehicles.
The customer is fully aware of the risks and dangers involved in outdoor activities such as swimming, hiking, running, rock climbing or any other activity potentially suggested as a supplemental activity on the tour and accepts full responsibility for participating in the activities.
Oral agreements with an agency of IMT, with IMT or with a tour guide of IMT shall only be effective if they have been confirmed by IMT in writing. Tour guides shall not be entitled to undertake activities that diverges from the travel contract concluded with IMT. If individual provisions of these travel terms and conditions are legally invalid, this does not make the remaining provisions invalid.
If there’s a different understanding between the Indonesian & English wordings in this Agreement, then the Indonesian version shall prevail.
A state, federal, or other requirement to show a negative test on arrival does not count as a travel ban.
All guides and rider are expected to test negative for Covid-19 at the start of the tour, or have recovered from Covid-19 within last 6 months, or have been fully vaccinated.
We ask that participants take care of themselves and follow the "hands – face – space" safety practices throughout the trip, and monitor their own health daily. If at any point during the tour you feel yourself showing symptoms or becoming ill, please advise the guides immediately, so that they may better help you.
Our guides will be fully vaccinated or tested prior joining the tour. They will make sure you are well-informed and feeling safe throughout the tour. They will communicate the local health & safety measures daily, and will be carrying out the enhanced sanitation, social distancing and other safety protocol. They will be prepared to manage logistics around and adjustments needed during the tour. Having already been trained and certified in First Aid and CPR, our guides will also have a protocol to follow in case of any Covid-19 related health issues. Our office staff will be there to provide support for you and our field team when needed.
